who knew AB de Villiers could sing?

this song is exactly what i need to hear right now. (:
it's funny how i'm actually waiting for March so i can do my Boards. sure it's just another exam which nearly every 16 year old in the country will be writing, but it still feels pretty major. it finally feels like i'm getting somewhere in life. it's like i finally get to do something big, something that's gonna take me one step closer to being everything that i want to be.
sure it's annoying, with all the studying to do, but it feels like i have a 'purpose' in life, lol. yeah, it's just an exam but... oh i don't know. i'm just know this is something where i really want to live up to everyone's expectations and i'm gonna give it my best. ^^
oh and here's another song by him, it's in Afrikaans and  the second half of the video makes no sense but i like it. even though i don't know what he's saying, i think i get what he's trying to say:
Here's to y'all - make your dreams come true!

Five reasons why i'm failing in my History exam on Monday

1. sadly:
it was all wet and cold this morning and i don't know why... i couldn't help but think about him, picture a 101 different scenarios, all with, perfect happy endings... *sigh*
and that's what i did all morning.

2. i spent all afternoon watching the KFC Big Bash.
i couldn't helpy myself - i finally got to watch him play! after nearly a YEAR!!
Luke Wright (Melbourne Stars vs. Melbourne Renegades)
he is such a gorgeous man.

3. i spent one part of my evening watching Charlie's Angels 1 AND 2, back to back.
Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle
i remember pretending to be Dylan when i was a kid.
when i was a kid who didn't have a big fat book to learn up by Sunday.

4. the rest of my evening was spent catching up on all the happenings in the lives of the other super hot English cricketers oh and in the process, i found this:
my Jimmy is The Bomb. ^^

5. and now i'm off to bed.

the end: Part I

Friday was my last Annual Sports' Day at Cottons. it's hard to imagine that, after spending 12 long years in this institution, i'm never coming back. but anyway, a Graduating Girl's Sob Story will be poured out later (you'll have to wait for three more months, JUST THREE MORE DAMN MONTHS). for now, i'll leave you with pictures of our house mascots of the year.

Cherry 2000

okay, so for our Boards this year we have a 100 marks computer application project on writing the code for any, ANY real-life based thing. like maybe, a personality quiz or Hangman or a travelling agency thing (- a group did this one last year and their source code was 400 pages long NO KIDDING)... you get it. we're s'posed to work in groups of 3-4 and hand over our work by 10th October.

the only reason why school sucks

okay, so here's my first post.

i should be studying physics right now since i've got physics on Monday.
it's my last exam. and then........ nope, not freedom. i'm gonna be in tenth grade soon, hon. the year of  The Boards. think they're gonna let us off so easily? HELL NO. we've got school till the 15th of April. just us pre-10thers doing 10th grade portions. ><"
but here i am.
the only thing i want to make believe about right now is that Monday's come and gone and i'm RELATIVELY freeeeeeee. or maybe that i've finished learning all that i need to learn and i go about doing whatever i feel like with the peaceful of knowledge of knowing i can get oustanding marks in my exam.
.... it's sad really how that's what the entire learning process in school seems to be about. who picks up things fastest, works hardest and then gets the best marks in this exam and that exam. another exam. then a couple more exams.
is that really the only thing propelling us to study? in my case it does seem like it is. that's what it must be like for every single one of us studying right now. we look at it like it's some sort of duty, something we're compelled to do. and it's not like we have a choice. try as hard as i might, in the end it just feels like something i need to do to save myself from the embarrassment of flunking. and also a personal satisfaction of knowing i'm better than others. it never feels like "oh look i'm learning something new!! *all excited* OOOOOH!!!" never. mind you, i'm talking about the STUDYING FOR EXAMS bit not the learning in school. because i do like learning. i have nothing against my text book except the fact that we're expected to STUDY it and answer their questions the way the text book directs us to. they're s'posed to be guides. not rule our academic life!

so let's not make believe about the exams getting over. let's make believe about an entirely different system of  being tested where it's all about how WE look at it and OUR perception of things. let's make believe about a system where getting more marks isn't what it's all about - it's about seeing how well we've actually grasped the concept of  what we're taught over the term.
